The default terminal for Mac is not bad, but once you go iTerm2 you can't go back. Visual Studio Code, for me, is the only good product for Mac Microsoft made. I went from Dreamweaver to Atom to JetBrains to Visual Studio Code, and I have zero regrets! It's just fantastic software! It's a big advocate for inbox zero, just like me. I use Gmail for most of my email addresses, and Spark is just amazing in keeping track of all these in one maintainable inbox. Listen to a cool podcast or epic playlist.

It's the first app I install on my brand new machine!Īs a developer and writer, it's essential to get in the zone. Jeez, Chrome should really be pre-installed. So 1Password to the rescue for generating and managing this for us. As developers we tend to make the most awful and bad passwords ourselves. I literally can't live without 1Password. I'm actually quite a minimalist in installing and keeping apps, so these 15 are the only "extra" apps I'm using on my device. the shortcut keys can't be used - because just about every other app out there wants to map Command-1, 2, 3, etc.Today we'll be looking at my personal top 15 Mac apps. hell no !! so I have no idea if that will enable paste functionality, steal all of my clipboard history, slam a trojan in place. when selecting the settings of "Paste Directly" in to active window (Hmm.maybe that makes paste work?) - I'm presented with a dialog to install a "small helper utility" from some 3rd party website. I have yet to get ANY Paste function to work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Ĥ. paste doesn't even seem to actually work. the window can only be moved by click/dragging on the bottom of the window, not the title bar like you'd expectģ. Note: this is in "keep above other windows settings" - just because I wan't it to pop up over the top of other windows, doesn't mean I don't want to be able to dismiss the windowĢ. you can only dismiss it by clicking on the tray icon The copy/paste window is static - can't be dismissed by clicking outside of it, hitting Esc, etc. I suspect the app is designed just to generate income - not provide any useful function.ġ.
